Back on My
Feet is a unique organization that strives to challenge
society’s perception of homelessness. Volunteer is a
word that is widely used in the nonprofit world, but we
don’t use that word at BOMF – here, we are all members
and we all follow the same guidelines regardless of
race, education, socio-economic status or any other
labels.
We are proud to have more than 400 members, all of whom possess a
plethora of innate skills and talents. Our early morning
runs are a cauldron of energy and positivity that form
our warm, supportive and loving Back on My Feet
community.
We are
always looking for fun, enthusiastic and committed
people to join our team. Our members
are at all different levels – beginner, intermediate and
advanced as we run at all different paces and different
distances. We will place you on a team that is at your
fitness level.
We currently
have five BOMF teams that meet every Monday, Wednesday,
Friday and four of the teams also run on Saturdays. The following are the locations,
times and current distances as of September 20th, 2008.
